Japenese Nuclear Crisis:
Part 1: Events summary
summarize the events that have unfolded in Japan (earthquake, tsunami , nuclear power). How is this affecting people in the region? Compare and contrast what has happended in Japan to what happened in Chernobyl in 1986.
The challenges faced by the Japanese people after this disaster are huge and can only be overcome with the help of the outside world. Six days after the earthquake that hit Japan and left thousands of people dead, the nation is now struggling. Events have moved fast and risks are hard to assess. The worst nuclear in history was the Chernobyl in 1986. Nuclear experts have repeatedly stated that the Japanese situation can't get as bad as Chernobyl, but its right there close to it. Japan has raised the severity of its nuclear crisis to the highest level, describing it at a "major accident" and putting it on a par with the Chernobyl. Japanwill never be back to what it was.
